Photographers Mannequin
models or mannequins?
hello, I just put up my online store, and I was wondering what is more effective for the buyers?
to use human models (maybe me or someone I'll pay for) or mannequins?
I know this might be the wrong section but I just want to see some of the photographer's views on this and those who love photography. what do you think are more pleasing pics for the buyers?
People! The clothes won't sit as well on a mannequin and people are so much more interesting to look at. Add some emotion in the shoot too, don't just have someone stood around wearing the clothes.

Does anyone know this photograph?
It was in a book of surrealist photographs. The photographer took a negative of a mannequin's face and one of a girl's face and combined them so that the nose and below are fake but the eyes and forehead are real. Does anyone know it?
I am not quite sure but try googling photos by Man Ray or Georges Bataille...both are amazing surrealist photoraphers among other things. I have seen work similar by them.
