Garment Mannequins
How do Topshop/New Look photograph their clothes?
This is a toughy. If you look on the topshop/new look website you'll notice that the garments with plunging necklines are completely cut out, just leaving the item of clothing filled out the way it should be. Does anyone have any idea how they're doing this? Do you think it's the green screen effect? If I was to paint a mannequin green, could I use photoshop to select the green area and make it the same shade of white as the backdrop? In the other photos you can see that you can see right through the neckline/front and see the back/inside of the garment. I really can't figure out how I could reproduce this! Surely it would be too time consuming to photoshop this, and maybe it's something as simple as a stratigically made wire frame?
Can anyone give me some tips on this? Thanks.
Clear /White and/or Wire mannequin,and a light box.
It's going to depend on the outfit.
