Drawing Figure Mannequin
I want to be a fashion designer... help me with this detail!?
I really want to be a fashion designer. My friends, family, multiple art teachers etc think my clothes and dresses are are stellar. I make clothes for everyone and got to design my own bridesmaid dress for my sisters wedding. Almost everything I wear is made by me, but I have one problem.... I can't draw. I can't even draw stick figures, nevertheless drapery! I have tried classes, but the only thing I excel at is drapery on a mannequin. Must I learn how to draw to succeed, or should I start looking for another career in fashion as a, oh I don't know, personal stylist? Please help me! If you think I shouldn't continue with design, please list some other jobs in the industry. I need work with couture! I crave your advice! Thanks x1000000!
as long as you can make clothes, who cares? with practice, i'm sure your drawing will improve!! i have the opposite problem haha XD
