Short Blow Out
Because we are the youngest, my husband and I always get the short end of the stick! Advice.?
My husband and I are 23 and and 24. I am the baby on my side of the family with 2 older brothers and 3 older male cousins who are 30+ years old and married. Every year we go to my Grandmothers house in Rural Pennsilvania Yet every year everyone is given a Bed and my husband and I are given the Blowout mattress on the floor.
This year, we will be bringing our newborn daughter and yet we are still being offered the floor. The closest hotel is like 45 minutes away and I think it's crap that we always get the short end of the stick.
My husband and I are also made to sit at the "Kids table with my 5,8 year old second cousins" I understand that there is almost 10 years difference between me and most of my older cousins, But I am still an adult and I am also married.
My husband said that this year he doesn't want to go to my grandmothers house if we are made to sleep on th floor again.
Any advice?
Unacceptable! I don't blame your husband. I don't know if I would want to go.
My husband and I went through something similar. A few years ago we drove to his aunts house in southern Oregon with our 1 year old son and had to sleep on the floor of her sewing room. I was so pissed. I never went back again. I drove 9 hours to sleep on the floor... Not cool.
