Shoe Mannequin
Wedding dress shopping technique?
I am watching a commercial for a show devoted to JUST buying a wedding dress. The whole fam is there disagreeing with one another, trying to convince the bride of this and that, etc.
When I went wedding dress shopping, I drove to a little shop by myself, had a heart attack when I saw one on a mannequin in the back of the store, had them take it off the mannequin so I could try it, and fell in love with it and bought it. Decided on no veil, just a white flower in my hair. Picked out the perfect shoes at the mall by myself the next day. I didn't even give anyone the opportunity to give me their opinion, much less create drama.
Why don't more people do this?
As a Bridal consultant I see both scenarios but actually I see the Bride on her own or with just one or two close people more often. It is really not very often that she will bring a ton of people to give her their opinion but it does happen and it does lead to allot more drama.
I think you also have to consider the stuff you are watching is made for TV so they have to dial up the drama.
Most of the time the shopping experience is fun, casual and really personal to the Bride. That is why I really love my job!

What heels would look best?
Please note that Lauren's dress has blue flowers but the mannequin has like a purple color. I made this mistake & bought blue shoes, only to find it was REALLY off. The belt is NOT black, it's grey.
I've looked for grey & purple heels - can't find much online. I prefer slingbacks but the choices were slim.
I'm LOST! Anyone have any ideas?
