how do i find out about old tv shows from my childhood?

these shows was on in the sixties and probably was short-lived.
one was a comedy about astronauts landing back in time in the cave man days.
another was about a superhero that worked in a garage and could fly by taking a pill and dawning a silvery coustume and flapping his arms as he flew.
another was this english scifi show about this man trapped on this island with this remotely controlled threatening "bouncing ball" stopping him from leaving. it was weird,I, know but interesting to a 5 year old.
still another was this 'lost" type drama about these collge age people trapped on an island where mannequins lay over the land..probably some gov. test site.
these shows may be filed away somewhere but as an adult i'd like to relive some of them

In order of appearance:

1. "It's About Time" (1966-67, CBS)
2. "Mister Terriffic" (1967, CBS)
3. "The Prisoner" (1967 UK;1968 CBS)
4, "The New People" (1969-70, ABC)

Those are the shows you were trying to recall. The Television Obscurities website has details on the first, second and fourth shows listed. "The Prisoner" is a long-standing cult favorite and is now being remade by AMC and Britain's ITV network. The links below will help you further.

Doctrove isn't having a good test match, should ICC do something against poorly performing umpires?

Billy Doctrove has played the role of mannequin for most of this Test, "not-outting" appeals and referring decisions to the third umpire, but the Dominican official sprung to life late on day four. Unfortunately for Doctrove, who had previously spared Kevin Pietersen and Simon Katich despite the weight of evidence suggesting both were out, the awakening involved an incorrect lbw decision against Bopara when struck too high on the pad by Ben Hilfenhaus.

Hold your knives!

Why is that when umpires make wrong decision it makes news, but when they make great decisions, it's gone unnoticed?

They are under pressure all the time. And
when they make decisions in split seconds, some come out good, some go horribly wrong.
Not only that they've to make quick decisions, they also have to make from what they saw like a flash, replay it in their minds and make a decision, all within a second.

And Billy Doctrove has made decisions that went against both side. I'm not trying to say that 2 wrongs make a right. I'm trying, instead, to say that he is unbiased.

Umpires have a tough job in hand, and it's important that when they make a decision, they aren't siding with any one particular team.

In such situation, the Umpire referral system is a great help. But ICC decided not to use it in the Ashes. And there aren't too many umpires in the elite panel, and punishing them for wrong decisions is not a feasible idea.
