Mannequin Seller
Any experienced Ebay sellers out there? I want to pick your brain!?
I love thrift store shopping and always find great deals on name brand, designer and fabulous vintage pieces. I have a great eye for fashion and have always been a trend setter. I want to turn my passion for thrift store fashion into an Ebay career. I just don't have the experience and or business knowledge to pull it off just yet. Any tips and or pointers for me? Can I make this into a potential career?
PS I know I need to get a bustform or mannequin to present my clothes properly and know to take pictures at different angles.
i already have an ebay and pay pal account and i only plan on accepting paypal. i need more information on merchandising/advertising tips, pros and cons about different auction times (3 days, 5 days etc), return policies, how to get my feet wet, things liek that.
also your personal experience/success stories with your ebay careers.
Try checking out all the other eBay sellers items first. This will give you an idea of what things are being sold for and you can also check the "completed listings" option to see if what you may be selling actually has interest or not. Try keeping track of your competitions Id's and read all their return and shipping policies to get an idea of how to protect yourself from scammer buyers.... "I never got the item" or "the item was damaged" etc.
Try selling an item or two from a NON BUSINESS eBay acct. before you buy into the "business" acct. status.
