What happen if Mr. X decides to fake his death and then, all Mr. X's familly thinks he is dead?
Then later, his closed family know he is still alive. What will happen next?
Let's look at the scene:
Mr.X: *Going hiding somewhere and make his fake corpse*
Days later...
Police: Hello Mr.X's familly, we found Mr.X who is dead.
Family: *All shocked*
Mr.X's family assists the ceremony of the dead of Mr.X (which is the fake corpse*)
Mr.X is hiding somewhere.
One day, his wife found him alive.

Fake corpse could be a plastic mannequin with realistic skin textures
If there were insurance policy's involved where family members collect money from them, then the person who faked his own death will go to prison since that's insurance fraud.
Any one other wise can disappear, that is not against the law to disappear. A person doesn't have to fake their own death to just want to disappear. Since that is not illegal.
However it may be illegal if they fake their own death.
I doubt that a mannequin would be realistic enough to pass as a human being, since forensics would show that it wasn't a real person. They would do DNA, since it would be a suspicious death.
