HELP! im learning to braid
i am trying to learn how to corn-roll is it better to use a mannequin head with real human hair or synthetic hair
You can use both, but if you are just practicing I'd go with synthetic hair. It's cheaper and if it doesn't come out right you can easily get rid of it...lol Happy Braiding!

Get Crimpy Hair Overnight w/ Braids!
I do cornrows. What can I do to give them that shiny, clean, neat look?
Right now I'm practicing on a mannequin and I'm trying to get better so I can get paid to braid hair. What products would I need to give them that shiny look? I don't want to just braid, I want the braids to look professional and to last long.
A light touch of olive oil should do the trick. But greasing the scalp is bad! Before braiding the hair, comb thoroughly (or brush if the hair can handle it) to disperse the oils from the scalp. If hair is tangled, start from the bottom and work your way up.
