Halloween costume: Raggedy Andy with Yarn Mohawk. How to?
The boyfriend and I are going as a modernized Raggedy Ann and Andy. For his yarn wig, I'd like to fabricate a mohawk. Any ideas on what to use and how to use it? I was thinking of forming a piece of fabric to fit his head and then sewing the hair on, then using glue to make it stand up, without it looking flaky.
Any ideas would be much appreciated! Happy early Halloween!
The glue will help to stiffen the yarn but depending on the length I doubt it would stand straight up, especially for a period of time. maovement is going to loosen it to where it becomes flaky. Try some red pipe cleaners (red so they will blend in) to get it started and then some clear drying elmers or even super glue for the ends. Also instead of foam try using a bald cap for your base, you can use make-up on the latex (grease make-up would work best I think.
