I have four dogs and their water bowls are developing algae - any suggestions for cleaning and prevention?

I have several water bowls, ranging in composition (stainless, plastic, etc.) In the summer, they all begin to form green algae. I also have a plastic kid's pool out in their run for them to hop into when they get hot. I want to clean these items with something that will help to prevent the spread of this stuff that won't harm them.

And just so we can eliminate the scolding I have seen in similar questions...my dogs are only out in the day while we are at work. They come inside when I get home. We built them a ramada for shade, they each have their own Igloo house and their run is clean. I give them fresh water everyday...but in the summer months, the algae grows. I scrub the bowls with a brush every few days, but I don't think I am penetrating this stuff enough. I think I am knocking off the top layer and it just comes right back. I'd like to add something to the water that might slow growth...will lemon juice work? Has anyone tried it? Suggestions?

Wash the bowls DAILY and give them fresh water daily. That is the only solution!

Wood-Plastic-Composition Production Line

I want to glue various objects to a painted wood panel. What's the best, strongest glue for this?

The objects I'd like to adhere to the panel range in composition from plastic, metal, wood, glass, etc. any thoughts? I want to use something straight from the bottle. No mixing or combining different epoxies. What works best? No Krazy Glue.

liquid nails or gorilla glue. both will hold anything liquid nails is good it is my fav for mosaic work. you can get both at the hard ware store.
