How I can I dress smart enough for sixth form but still goth / metal / rock etc?
Ok, my music interests are heavy metal, gothic metal etc etc. My casual clothes are normally band t-shirts and jeans, however I'm becoming more gothic, wearing more corsets etc. In september Im going back into sixth form, and we have to wear 'office wear', so I'm looking for some hints on clothing and make up that is smart but gothic at the same time. Like I said, my casual image is also moving more that way, so any hints on 'going goth' on a budget would also be helpful (any ideas for outfits would be welcomed too, my mom isn't into the same style and all my only girl friend is more pop scene) Please help!! for make up you could wear like dark purple or red lipstick, or black eyeliner all the way round your eye, thats still completely acceptable for office wear, also just black eyeshadow all over the lid is fine for office wear too. For clothes you could wear a studded belt with black trousers and top which would look appropriate but still give off a goth metal like vibe. I have to say plenty of goth/emo kids in my 6th form (which was a few years ago) totally ignored the dress appropriate rule and went around in black cloaks, black eye make up covering half their face and loads of face piercings. Everyone knew they were goths alright, but no-one thought they were pretty or cool and people stayed away from them. So it really depends on what your priorities are as to how much of your image you want to give off in school time : )
