Professional Working Dress
Is it acceptable for me to wear a dress in a business professional work environment?
I am going to begin work in an office with a business professional dress code i.e. men wear full suit and tie every day. I'm not really sure what the dress code guidelines are for a female. Is it okay for me to wear a nice dress (one with short sleeves and a conservative neckline)? Should I wear a jacket over it? Any general guidelines would be really helpful. Thanks!
On your first day, dress classic. Then look at the women you work with and imitate their dress (ie, neckline, dress length, sleeves) etc. For example show no boobs, no bellybutton, no thigh. Wear a 1 inch heels with your shoe. Coordinate your accessories (purse, bracelet, shoes, hair apparel). If you are still worried, go stand in front of the building at 3:30 pm and watch the women walk out of the office. See how they dress. Congratulations on your new job.

Are more professional working women wearing leggings instead of real tights/stockings/pantyhose these days?
I've just noticed from my boss who doesn't look professional at all when wearing baggy leggings with her dresses and skirts. I'm always telling her she needs to wear tighter tights (or actual tights). Sheer nude pantyhose is the most professional, sophisticated and sexy type of hosiery to wear to a place of business, bar none. They look great everywhere else too.
